  2. Hi Matt (PM Charlie 1)
How is the bog digging going? Karl is very jealous – he says he is ‘zee bog trotter of choice in zee Tyrol!’ He wants you to know zat lederhosen are zee best apparel for such a task. Heavily lubricated with zee lanoline of course!
News from home – The Clougs have moved in to their new cottage. Clare tells me it’s organised chaos – when we took them out for her BD dinner yesterday, I think she over emphasised the organised bit. My hands have improved, thank God. Am looking forward to a 2 day sailing event after Easter. Mum is busy preparing for open-art, paint brush in hand. We have at last booked the installation of the wood burning fire at home. Mum & I to the Hockney exhibition with Caro last week. Brilliant!
Glad to hear the phase is going well. When you get back I have lots of building projects lined up for you now that you’re a master craftsman! Look after your team and yourself and make the most of this final phase. You are in our thoughts daily. Mum sends all her love and lots of kisses.

Hi Rhian, It's Lyndsay. I hope I put the right group you where a different one the last time I messaged you! I have a bit of news, I think I'm going to work in Paris! I got offered the job earlier today and I start in three weeks! It's all a bit sudden but it'll be an adventure I suppose! I just have to sign the contract so fingers crossed it all happens! I hope you are still enjoying yourself. I saw your Mum and Wendy on Dad's birthday they said you were fine. We went to a nice Italian in Hoylake. Well I'm sure I see you soon when your travels are over. Take care. Lyndsay x

    Yo Muppet! How goes it?

Reading between thrilled I'm guessing that you're nearly at the end of your adventure, what an experience you have had, can't wait to hear all about it and I mean ALL! I'm early quite envious of you, and wish I had taken the opportunity to travel whilst I was you rage (oops old person speak). I've been catching up with the bogs & videos and it seems that you all like sticking your arms in the air lol.

We got back from Cyprus last Thursday after a very long had week, still we got done most of what needed to be done I had a good clear out of my sheds *hear that Matt, my sheds are tidy* & have handed the keys over to the people who want the villa for six months.

I've made Matt a bit jealous *hi Gadget Boy* as I (we) have bought the new iPad which I have to say is pretty cool.

I'm trialling a new painkiller for the poxy neck & one of the side effects is that I seem not to need to sleep which is quite good as I can now catch up with emails and work in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone. One of the other side effects (don't tell grandpa as he won't believe me) is weight loss, I've lost just over 10llbs so far so am now sporting the "young persons showing off their pants" look. How do you young people (more old person speak) cope with hipsters and how do boys (ahem Matt) Cope with the feeling that their trousers/shorts are falling down? I find it extremely irritating so am going to shop for some new clothes!

Matt informs me that he is to have a new lads pad, I did wonder if it was to be a granny annex for O & G but he informs me it's a Matt annex, I think I've persuaded him to let me in to play video games when its finished but we will see. Oma says that he has made another bet with her (silly boy) he should, know by now that she will only make a bet if she is fairly confident that she will win!!

I hear that Mum is coming out to India and the two of you will be exploring, sounds like good fun, I hope that you both have a great time.

Right, I shall end here, enjoy the rest of your trip & hopefully we'll catch up soon after you return.

Lots of love from me (your fab Aunt) & G xxxxxx

He lieve Marjolein, hoe gaat het ermee?

Wow it all look amazing. I can't believe you've been there for nearly 3 months..crazy. Only a few weeks more and then you’re back – although I guess I’m more excited about that than you are  In other news Dads computer has gone kaput... it’s off at the menders so they should get it back soon but in the mean time he’s hating not being able to surf the net and check emails.
Have a great time travelling and looking forward to hearing all about it soon
    Love Liz x

XXX mama

Hi darling, I hope you are enjoying your final project. Not long now before you are back home. Weather has been lovely, not including this week. Olivia is revising full throttle. My work with the CAB and WILPF continues. And the new roof is also continues to leak. Not great. :/ Anneli, Henni and Sami are coming to London for Easter. So will be cooking for them on Easter Sunday. Hope all is going well. Lots of love to you, looking forward to seeing you again soon. Mum. xxxxxxx

  11. Message for Becky Massey, Echo 4.

    Hi Becky!
Hope you're well and enjoying digging holes still. Seen a couple of pics of you in a sari, pretty cool. Saw the video of you doing the 'fascination' music video thing you guys did in the tea plantation, its hilarious looks like so much fun! Granny and Grandpa came down for a night and I showed them it to them, they thought it was so funny.
The chickens laid their first egg today! It's really small but apparently they get bigger, we're looking forward to lots of tasty ones!
I'm filling out an application for an internship in Brussels atm, its this thing run by the uni that gives people internships abroad, there are only a few and its really competitive but I thought I'd go for it. Its taking ages.
So... hope you're well, looking forward to hearing from you. Lots of love,
    Ben xxx

  15. For Natalie Davis (Charlie one I think!!)

Looks like you're having a fabulous time, don't hurry home yet it's snowing again here (OK only in Scot and Wales but that's where we're off to for Easter).

We'll miss you on the Hill for the Easter-egg hunt but I'll try to scoff a couple on your behalf. I will miss Liz's wedding after-party due to a stag do but I'm sure they'll be plenty of parties for YOU on your return.

I had a great time x-country skiing across the alps and had Rosti for the first time - AWESOME.

See you soon, the Rat one xx

    Sofie van Gessel Charlie 1
    Hoi Sofie,
Dikke kus XXX josien

From the map on the website showing the location of all the groups, your group seem to be miles away! Hope you are protecting the turtles.

I am writing this on Easter Saturday. Mum got out of hospital last Tuesday evening and has since been recovering at home. She is gradually building up a bit more strength now that she is able to eat a bit more (see that's my home cooking for you!). She is just eating small bits and pieces at the moment and trying to drink as much water as she can manage. Recovery is just going to take a fair while, but at least it is underway.

I am not sure how quickly you will get this message now that it is easter weekend. As a result I have sent this same message via the email - so you will probably get it twice!

All the great weather we had a week ago is long gone, and we had snow this week. Harriet is on her way back from her skiing holiday which seems to have been a huge success and William is back in Manchester studying.

    HAPPY EASTER!

    Love Dadxx

Hi Jonathan, 3rd attempt to send you a message today, have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Nana and Grandad are spending Easter in Matlock as the Lewis family are abroad and don't need babysitters.Nana says not to worry, she'll eat your egg for you They were thrilled to see the pictures of you on the blog, with your huge bits of bamboo.
Thomas has gone out 'dancing' to celebrate the fact that Ian has sorted his laptop, and also THE HEDGE. !!
Hope you're fully recovered from the D&V and are enjoying the trek. Can't believe the Raleigh experience is nearly over for you. Would love to drop in for a couple of days to see the sights with you (would be far too hot for me though )
Was great to hear your voice at changeover, hope you'll be able to phone more often soon. Can't tell you how much we miss you, just hope you're having the time of your life , be careful when you set off independently, want you back in one piece in September
Lots of love and a big hug, Mum xxx
