Hi Rory, hope it's going well, and that the cyclings not to bad. Mum is back from the Sahara with sore feet but otherwise ok and reckons her trek is harder and more primitive than yours!!! It's getting cold and wintery here, looked at the picture and wondered when your starting Movember! Look after yourself and we'll see you in a couple of weeks. Dad

I hope te weather is better where you are, it is raining and blowing gales here. We are ok, but the west country is flooded,. St Mary's had 5 cm of rain yesterday St Martins residence wondered whether to take the kayak to Adam's for fish and chips last night!
We went to Nottingham yesterday for Jessie's graduation and for a final visit to Rowe Gardens. The house changes hands tomorrow. I had the pleasure to entertain Arbles so that she did not have to sit through hours of speeches. We went to ride victory horses on the Christmas market and saw the Christmas lights. Good fun, defo better than speeches. Linda and John cam and we had a late but lovely lunch before collecting the last bit of rubbish and coming home, in driving rain. Well I hope you get to see elephant and enjoy rafting and kayaking on Indian waters.
Love you lots xoxox from all of us xoxoxox

    Lieve Fred,
Weer even een kort bericht.
Wij lekker weekend gehad.
Hier storm, bomen kaal!
XXXX S

Busy few days- do you remember my friend Alice from physio, well her & Stephen came to stay for the night. Great times remembering the past!!! Saturday was fab the 1st team beat QM (greatest rivals and not beaten them for years) and came 2nd in North Schools Tournament. Happy girls. Had 6 over for dinner- very good evening- refer to Ad's Movember page for evidence. Today having kicked Andy and Della out at 1.30am, we were up at 6.45 to go to the Wirral for North Of England Lacrosse Trials. ad & I took opportunity to go Xmas shopping to Liverpool 1. Lieve Fred,
Erg leuk. Glennis Grace, Anastacia en de Jackson 4. Anastacia was helemaal top. Echt pieste bijna in mijn .....

I hope you have made a good few miles since you set off on your trek. Have you found any elephants yet? I hope to see lots of Troy pictures!
We are having a really wet and windy autumn here. Everywhere is flooded and the wind i so strong that not even the Gry will sail - no post and now food in the co-op. Bad news for Sillonians! It is not so bad here, although we had a rough journey back from Nottingham on Saturday. It was Jessie's graduation and we finally emptied the house and said good bye to Rowe Gardens. The sale went through on Monday.
Whilst everyone was listening to speeches I had the pleasure to tale Arabella out. We went to see the Christmas lights and had a ride on the Victory Horses. Much better fun! Hope you are enjoying yourself too. Not long till you are home now. Love you lots xxx mum, dad and Tom xoxoxoxo

Sorry it's been a while since I sent you a message, been made busy here.
Hope it's going well and you are enjoying your big final project.
I got a front page for the English edition the other week which was great - I was really pleased.
Then last week I got dressed up as The Sunday Post Penguin and pranced around Penrith - not quite the hard-hitting journalism I was aiming at.
    But it was quite funny!
This week I'm really busy but no stories looking too exciting.
My football team going okay except I gave away a last-minute penalty to lose us the game on Monday - oops!
I'm off home this weekend for Lyndsey's birthday and staying at home until Monday which I am looking forward to.
Everything going well here but I'm just so busy I hardly get a moment to stop. But I'm sure you're 10 times as pushed out there digging holes.
Tim came up last weekend and we hit the pubs - was a really good laugh!
Anyway hope you're great speak soon love Ben

    Hey Bib,

Hope you are well. It is getting hot here now, tomorrow is going to be 38! Mum is not coping well haha We got your enrolment papers from La Trobe today, mum called them and told them you won't be home for your sign up day. So they are going to contact you in January so you can enrol then. You were meant to sign up on the 13th of December at 12pm, the day you get back!

We went and saw nonna at the nursing home, everyone is crazy there and it was pretty funny. She is well and has lots of old friends. There was a crazy man who came into the room and just started singing, so she fits in well with her singing buddies.

Pop's scooter broke down on Keilor Road twice in one week. The first time he was bought home by the cops haha and the second by some guys who work at the motorbike shop near the park. Thought you would want to hear that. He is driving mum crazy. He called her over 5 times yesterday to tell her random stuff.

I am working at Falls this year, I got the confirmation email. I am doing work in the site shed backstage, so it will be good. I am going to have to camp for 6 nights though so i recon it will be tiring and i will be sick of camping when its done.

I am going up to Mansfield this weekend so Mum doesn't get sad. She is very emotionally needy right now. Oscar is loving his new pooh bear and tigger toys, he hasn't destroyed them yet so he must really love them. He carries them around the house and trips over them cos they are too big for him its really cute.

Katie is resigning from Famous, she got a job with Cotton On as a visual merchandiser, so she now has a proper full time job. Kelly can't wait for you to get back. Also I am looking forward to working at Princess with you and Ange. Lisa is doing it as well and so is Greg's sister Georgie so there will be a big gang of us there.

Lisa tore the ligaments in her ankle, so she has a massive cankle now, its pretty funny. But she can't really walk which sucks and its gone all purple and brown, its gross. Greg is the same annoying person, he is fine. Sim is okay and so is Dad.

I saw Ball Park Music at work, they were good, I know that you wish you went. They had cool tshirts, i didn't get you one because i got you one last time :)

Also saw the pictures of your orange sari, hope its yours to keep! it looks good, very authentic with your white as skin.

Can't wait for you to get home. Miss you heaps.
Ps. Survivor is getting really good, you can start watching it when you get back! they have already merged so its getting really good now.

Love Jess, Mum, Dad, Sim, Boscy x

  16. Hi Carrot,
Nice to hear that you are climbing mountains. I'm sure the view is amazing and breathtaking - must be better than Sabah. Are you sleeping in tent or on a hammock?
Things are pretty busy here. Kar Lye left for Sabah for a month. I hosted Lucy at her house for 2 days. She is doing great and crazy as usual. Woon chin came back from her South America traveling and she is having her chinese medicine exam today. We wanted to have dinner at Ikan Bakar near Istana Negara but ended up having Yong Tao Foo at Old Klang Road because we were lost. Oh ya, forgot to update you about Penang Bridge Marathon. My dad finished 21km at 2 and half hours, my sis finished 3 hrs 15 mins. Beemo finished 42km as well, and you know what, Nurul came to Penang just to support him! She made him a very cute card. Li Vyen and Alice finally joined 42km. This year maybe the final year they have the marathon on this bridge, when the new bridge opens next year, they might have the marathon there. Going back to work, you take care.

    Hi lieve vriendin,
Over 2,5 week beginnen mijn tentamens alweer... (natuurtalentje hier).

  20. To Alex Nevard Echo 3,

    Hello!

Hope you're doing well and still enjoying digging big holes! It was really nice speaking to you again. So its nearly the end of November now, hope the moustache is coming along a bit better!
I went on the oncology study day in Christie's today. Was very good and really enjoyed it. Definitely the career for me :) Little bit stressful getting there though, which surprised me as I went by train instead of driving! I somehow still haven't managed to finish my application form, but its ok still 5 days to go! Feel really silly though, don't know how on earth you managed to do yours in a few hours. As a consequence of this, and Hadiba and I feeling a bit money conscious at the moment, we are no longer going on holiday :( Instead a night out when Ive submitted it, and a girly day out doing Christmassy things. Not quite as exciting, was a little sad at first but now happy with our plan. Also means I can do some locums in Jimmys A+E, Ive finally got some arranged! On Saturday been invited for a proper girly sleep over with three other girls! Quite excited, havent done anything like this in a while. Dont think it'll be the same as the sleepovers I remember, and will be a reasonable amount of wine involved! Got a really funny invite which I'll have to show you, and Ive been tasked to bring 3 bananas- no idea why!
Looks like our house might be filled with new housemates again soon, which is good. Have one boy signed already. Unfortunately the toilet roll war is still ongoing and now a new battle has commenced- the central heating! We're down into minus numbers at night now, ice on cars, hat scarf and gloves definitely needed - but unfortunately inside our house too!
Oh yes, were you aware that you sent me a website address on skype the other day?! I hope that wasn't a very unsubtle hint at a Christmas present!
Anyway better to get back to application and revision :(
Looking forward to hearing from you again.

    Miss you

    Lieve freddy,
Verder morgen bijna weekend.

Hello Jen, Sorry I haven't been in touch sooner but all is well here. Hope the digging is going o'kay and you aren't too tired. Nothing much happening here. Weather is very cold but at least it's dry. Colin and I got the caravan washed and it's looking well but what a job, it took us most of an afternoon. We're putting it into storage for the winter so we'll have a bit more space in the drive. Neal has gone to Chicago for 2 weeks with work. I'm going through his Christmas wish list and I'll order a couple of things off it for you. He won't be getting any of the guitars though! Russ is off to the vet today (Fri)to have his leg checked. He's still limping but improving. He just won't slow down, runs everywhere. Was speaking to Maisie the other day. She got a text from John who was at a gig in Inverness. It was 3 o'clock in the morning and he had broken down 10 miles outside Inverness so Hugh and herself had to set off to get him. Maisie had to wait in the car for the AA to arrive and John and Hugh set off home. What a nightmare. The AA man had to tow her home to a garage but only after she upgraded her subscription. Is that boy spoilt or what? Anyway Jen I'll head off and hope to speak to you as soon as you return, it won't be long now. Can't wait to hear from you. Loads of love and hugs.

Right I've got good news and bad news... Bad news first I got a call from Crystal Ski saying their sending people out this week and were checking with all the standbys cause they usually have drop outs, so there is a chance I'll be sent out within the next couple of weeks :( but the good news is I've booked my flights to yours for the 16th December (I thought I'd give you time to see your family first and recover from your jet lag when you get back) its only for a couple of days because I've got so much going on but hopefully I wont have been sent away and have to cancel all my plans and I can see you cause I can't wait, I really miss you.
Twelve days till you come home :) I hope you ok and having a wonderful time. If I don't see you hopefully I'll get sent to France then we can meet up (if you want to). Anywho speak soon, Lyiow Abi xxxxx

Hello lovely boy - hope you are well and having a brilliant time still. We are SOOOO looking forward to seeing you - only a couple of weeks to go now. Even Elspeth admits that she misses you!
It is cold and frosty here now. Crispy mornings for walks with the dogs. Very nice, though would prefer some of your sun and warmth. We are lighting fires every night and putting on the electric blankets.
Really lookng forward to reading about how you are all getting on with your trek - sounds so exciting.
Building going up - walls are in and conservatory roof goes on on Monday. You will be able to touch it from your bedroom window. Lots of changes for you to see. Biscuit loves the builders. She is out there with them now. Sitting and grinning at them and bringing them no end of toys. They ignore her most of the time, but I notice that one of them seems to have a particular soft spot.... There are four pigs at the top field who live in the woods and run to greet Biscuit and Finn every morning. they are very friendly and vocal and have tiny little piggy eyes. Real characters. A couple of days ago when I took the dogs to he top field at 7 in the morning, an escaped donkey was waiting for us. As soon as he clapped eyes on the dogs he charged after them, scattering Biscuit in one direction and Finn in the other. Even though it was pouring with rain and dark, I had never seen anything so funny. I couldn't find them anywahere and had to go home and get Richard to help me find them. They eventually emerged from the woods grinning and shivering.
I would love to give you news of all your friends, but don't really have any - everyone is either at uni or working on their apprenticeships with their heads down. I think it will be party time when you come home as it will coincide with their holidays too. Elspeth's boyfirend Izaak is coming to stay on 20th for a few days and Els thinks you will really get on with him as you are "very alike" (she says). Can't think whey she is going out with him then!!
Will write again over the weekend. In the meantime, take care and enjoy every minute if you can. Will be waiting with bated breath to hear all about it in a couple of weeks
Love Mum, Dad and Elspeth xxxx
