Message from PRO

I'm off for another 'loop' visit to our trekkers today until Saturday 1st March. We'll be taking them more supplies and gathering more news and updates for you all to read on our return.

Please check the blog again on Sunday 2nd March and keep posting your messages; they will all be posted on my return and sent out to the project groups with the next Fieldbase trip to see them.

Bye for now!

    Hi JIbs

4 wins on the trot for the greens and we are in dreamland (5th) with 12 games to go.

Panto starts tonight. 2 dress rehearsals and then first performance on Wednesday. Did you know that the swallow has to beat its wings 43 times every second to maintain air speed velocity and that the prince's father smells of elderberries.

Loved the photos of you, especially the Hokey Cokey with the children.

We are addicted to the blog

Martha was great in the show. Jenny and Stef came along with Jenny's mum to watch. Was good to see them.

    have fun with the cement

    Enjoy

    Love from Dad

At least we see a little bit how you are doing, I am sure you love the trek, although it must be exhousting, and I know who jumped immediately in the water to get a hairwash and shave the legs! Enjoy every minute of it ,you will always look back on it s a real adventure!! We miss you here in Antigua, we sailed today, even dad managed all on his own, its all beautiful, very easygoing and relaxed. I am sure you will love st. kitts. Love you lots , big kiss and hugs XXX

Hiya mate - sorry delay on blog post, just figured out how it all works!! he he. All quiet at home without you, spoken to mum and danielle a couple of times and they miss you too. Sounds like you are in fab alpha group and making the most of it all! LOL at the old leeches and the thought of "I did tell them" sprung to mind!
News on the others - John is on trek and finding it hard, not enough ciggies and choc I think. Also I think he may have spent all his money!
Sam - No news is good news so can only assume she is loving it.
Davas alpha group have got the reputation as the party animals, so will be suprised if he makes the 10 weeks.

I am sure you are doing amazing, there are some great pics of you (and Maud, we like her!!) on the web.

Keep it up for Motivate, miss you

  5. Hi Kerala
Hope you have received the letters and birthday cards we have sent - if not then expect a few some time soon. We still haven't got your letter so response times are a bit slow.
Weather here is damp and rainy so it's the right time of the year to be missing.
Don't get too close to the elephants as they are less predictable than they look.
Hope you are having a great time.
    Lots of love,
    your family

Hi Sam, hope you're well and enjoying your trek? You must be as fit as a fiddle by now... hopefully all those marathon training sessions around Penyard Hill have helped! Apparently Alice is doing her trekking phase first in Malaysia too, quite a coincidence. If your Wayfarers are starting to suffer from all that hard use don't worry too much, there's a bright red pair here waiting for your return... just in time for the long hot English Summer. If I remember the timings correctly your 'walking' phase should be pretty near its end and you'll be taking to 2-wheels or a kayak very soon... expect your legs will be ready for a rest. I'm off trekking next weekend... four days of trekking around golf courses in East Lothian! Think Mum is probably looking forward to the peace & quiet. By the way, Grandpops sends his love. Take care, keep safe... and make contact when you can. Love Padre & Mumsie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi Jib
Everyone thinks you look fab in a Sari, we love looking at the pics.
Have you heard about our earthquake?
Dad and I woke with a start on Tuesday night just before 1am. The whole room was shaking and there was a really loud rumbling. The wardrobe shook and the birds were singing!! We hadn't a clue what was going on it was really spooky, very Torchwood!! We decided that there was a new rift opening and Harrogate was being infested by weavels!!!!!!!!!!!
Martha was 'gutted'as she slept through it!! Well it did only last 10 seconds but was 5.2 on the scale!!
LOVE and MISS you, hugs and kisses mum and all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It was so good to speak to you today after missing you yesterday. I was ridiculously sad from missing your calls. Can't wait 'til this is updated and I can see more of what you've been up to. I hope you completely recover soon and that the work gets easier. Good to hear about the weather changing, thus hindering your tan further! I hope it's not too unbearable to work when it's hot though. That can't be fun. It's miserable over here. Was hot and sunny for 2 weeks after you left but now it's drizzly and foul. I don't know why I'm talking about the weather, just waffling I suppose. I just managed to spill a cup of tea all over the computer! Was playing hockey for the house by the way. I haven't just taken it up for kicks, I'm far too awful. We've got 2 more games and won the last one 7-1 which was good. I didn't score any goals but I like to think that my presence helped the goal scoring! Your tutoring did help a lot though, did lots of tackling. I really don't know what I'm talking about, just filling you in with boring current affairs. I swear I'm the only girlfriend that writes on this thing-all the other posts are from parents etc. Have to do my french performance again tomorrow in front of everyone, I'm pretty terrified and keep forgetting my lines! I'm hope it'll be ok. Nikki won a trophy in her Eistedfodd and I think your mum's choir is doing well too, going to see them on saturday so will fill you in with details if you don't speak to them soon. I forgot to ask you what your plans are for travelling after Raleigh, have you sorted anything else/met anyone to go with? It's so weird thinking about you nearly finshing Raleigh, it feels like you only just went, but also like you've been away forever, very bizarre. Can't wait 'til you return, without wishing your trip away.Really really miss you, sorry it's not so apparant on the phone, it just makes me sad to say it, and I also don't want to make you sad. Anyway, I'll stop writing this essay now, I'm sure I'm taking up most of the blog space! Love you laods and loads, hopefully speak to you soon. Nats xxxxxxxx

Hope the boots held up ok on the trek. I am still dining out on that story, and most likely will for some time yet. We are going to see Lucy tomorrow for the night. Hopefully will not have to do too much emergency shopping. we think that the main walking part of your adventure is now over and you are going into the last phase of this project. Can't belive you have only been gone 3 weeks and have done so much, Macclesfield just keeps rolling on at its normal slow pace. I will write a letter again this week end, they should start to arrive soon. love you loads and loads Mummy xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning my darling, how is the cycling going! good job I am not with you or you would need to stop and let me catch my breath, mountains and bikes in the same activity. I am taking Dad shopping today and it has already taken 2 hours to get ready and he is still walking around the house wanting to know where we are going. His idea of extreme sport. Lucy is in rehearsal all day so we have not gone to Cheltenham, next week maybe. We are looking forward to the next posting on the blog as it keeps us in touch with you and we spend hours reading it over and over, Lucy thinks we are sad. love you very much mummy xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I wrote you a really long message a few days ago but it's not been put up. I don't know why. Can't remember what I wrote in it either which is helpful! I'm sorry for again being rubbish on the phone, I just don't want to get upset and then make you upset if I start talking about missing you so that's why I didn't. I hope working is getting easier and that the weather has stayed cool for you, after a week of horrible weather the sun is now shining and it's quite warm outside which is good. I've just spent the morning washing my car. Also went to see your parents this morning, or rather your dad. He is well and was quite interesting in the giant machine that is Ralph! Nikki won a trophy in the Eisteddfod for singing and she says the rest of it is going well, I didn't see your mum but she's doing peformances too which I'm sure she's winning thinga for. I'm going to see Nikki in her play on Wednesday, I'll let you know what it's like, I'm sure it'll be really good judging by what she's said. Also playing more hockey next week, putting your tutoring to good use! Anyway, I'm waffling, and I'll probably find that this message doesn't work as well and that I'll yet again forget what I've said but hopefully speak again soon. I hope plans for the last 2 weeks are ok and that you know what you're doing. Really really miss you and love you loads. Enjoy your last week.Nats xxxxxx

  20. Hi Charles -

Missing you loads...... and no letters received yet so we kinda feel out of contact. Just sent another letter so hopefully you're keeping up with our news. Everyone asking about you, and amazed to hear of your travels and activities - sometimes they get embellished along the lines of scaling the himalayas or digging a trench with one hand whilst fending a tiger off with the other - anyway they're all very impressed. No doubt you'll be back in the lap of luxury having finished the trek - maybe your sense of luxury has now changed a la El Bahariya Oasis. Have to go on a course this afternoon at HGC.
Take it easy kiddo! Lots of love.
