Three members of Fieldbase staff: Brian, Sally and Deepak are currently out on a loop trip to Alpha One and Two and will be returning later today. I'll be putting up all their news and photos here on the blog as soon as I can pin them down for an update from the two groups!
For now, read on for an update from Tim, our DPM, who has spent the first part of Phase Two with our trekkers down in Kerala standing in for PM and Medic Jason. Now that Jason has returned from the UK, Tim has come back to work in the 'hub' of Fieldbase again, armed with plenty of news and photographs from the group's adventures so far...

ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to seeing some photos on the blog! I'm so glad you're having such an amazing time...it was so WONDERFUL to hear your voice, made my day/week/month! Have just collected Daddy's godaughter Lara ('I DON'T LIKE SAUSAGES') from school, she's staying tonight and back home to France tomorrow. She came with me to choose your Easter Egg (hope it keeps until June but HAD to get you one!!!) and then we popped into Top Shop - end of term treat for her! Serena stayed last night and we saw The Other Boleyn Girl - We booked those big seats in the Chelsea cinema, so nice. I saw Juno with Emily and I cried of course! News is Jelly got into LCF to do Fashion Journalism in September which she is very excited about.
More news tomorrow...after I've seen the blog pics...love you MASSES & MASSES my darling, All my love Mummy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ReplyDeleteHi Kirsty
Sorry I couldn't really speak to you on Sunday... was outside on a golf course near Edinburgh, very windy and you were very quiet but I hear you got through to Mum eventually anyway. I was up there from Friday through to Monday evening - had a really good time but needed to get back for a rest! Kate flew out to South Africa last night and sounds like she's having a fantastic time already, hopefully she might be able to send you a text from there once you get your phone back. How is the toilet construction going - not as exciting as the trek I guess but character building stuff just the same! Mum and I will go down to buy Grandpops and Audrey Easter lunch on Saturday - hopefully you'll be able to get an Easter egg on Sunday too even if its not a chocolate one? Keep enjoying yourself and make contact when you can. Loads of love. Padre xxx.

Hi Jib
ReplyDeleteMum and I went to your Certificate evening last night. saw Jenny, Mandy, Laura and Jess etc. Very good evening. Quite emotional seeing all the photos from 2000 to 2007. The man who presented the certificates was the team doctor in the England Rugby World Cup winning team in 2003. I see Bettys awarded a prize for one of the subjects (French). Grace won the A level Art award.
Talking of Bettys have you taken a photo of the Tea box yet? Must be great in the tea plantations. We loved the photos. You look so relaxed and like you are having such a brill time. Jane looks every day to see if the blog has changed.
Off for 4 days now and Haz is home on Saturday . Duck on Sunday. Apparently snow is forecast at the weekend. And loads predicted for Obertauern
Hope the Bikes and Canoes are great fun.
Miss you loads
Love Dad
