Holi, holi, it's project allocations!

Yesterday the venturers hit Mysore for some sightseeing and all-important pizza. Meanwhile at field base the team were plotting how to announce project allocations. A fiendish plan was hatched. Once the pizza-stuffed venturers returned, we informed them that a party was imminent and that they should come clad in bin bags, as this was the current trend in Paris. They took the bait.

Echo 2 PMs Shane and Julie prepare to pounce

Clazza comin' atcha like a shark with knees

Under cover of darkness, project manager Geoff rounded them up for a photo outside field base. Little did they know that the PMs and the field base team were lurking behind the wall ready to ambush them with Holi powder! I love it when a plan comes together...

A serene smiling Jen

Shocked and bemused, our now vibrantly coloured venturers were taken up to the roof terrace and daubed with different colour bindis, according to their allocation group. They still hadn't twigged by this point.

Stephen's fate is sealed

Kyle is a marked man

However before the announcement took place, we were treated to a masterclass in salsa, Egyptian belly dancing, traditional Indian, Australian heel and toe, and Scottish céilidh dancing. I tell you something, dear reader, it doesn't half get hot in bin bags. Now I know why I haven't worn them before...

Gotcha!

Carole's going through a purple patch

And then the allocations were announced! There were screams of joy...and that was just the PMs. I feel I must tell you that the music accompanying this heady occasion was S Club 7's "Reach For The Stars".

Charlie 1 is our community project and the group will be building a school in Koolal, Tamil Nadu
