Fun times in Foxtrot Two

It was a very jolly Foxtrot Two that called us last night positively brimming with news of their antics.  This jolly group are fitting in with the kids at Madapura boarding school where they have been working on a toilet block to literally double the school's current facilities. Having completed the cesspits and other foundation digging Foxtrot Two will get involved with cement tomorrow when they begin to lay the foundations.  They have been ably assisted by local people, fascinated by their efforts.

The digging has not stopped there however, and the group have put their new found skills (yes digging is a skill) to good use, building an impressive long drop which was so appealing to Olly that he only just managed to resist the urge to jump on in - just to be clear this was at the digging stage of the process!

On Sunday the group headed to Mysore to take in the sites including the famous Mysore Palace and the equally impressive Chamundi Hill before enjoying the delights of Pizza Corner.

On Monday it was business as usual - well as usual as sharing a school with 180 young ones can be, and on top of the physical labour the group began their teaching sessions - except this quickly turned into a volleyball match.

So inspired were we by Foxtrot Two that Pete and myself took on our own little challenge and ran to visit them this morning.  Well we ran most of the 25km - there may have been some assistance from our trusty driver but please don't tell the group!

No photos I am afraid but we promise to put them up ASAP

Anna

  19. Hi Beth,

Hope you aren't getting 'flushed' and that all your hard work isn't 'going down the pan.' You look a little 'vacant' in the photos but you are obviously very 'engaged' in your work.

Love Uncle Bob and Auntie Susan (Paul, Sonia and Sally) xxx
