On the return journey to Field Base the groups made the most of their time and made a trip into Mysore City to experiencethe colorful markets that make the atmosphere so special.
After a late night of catching up with all the other Alpha groups, swapping tales of trek leeching and campsite flooding, hard work and blisters the groups made their way to the local university cricket grounds for a beautiful day of relaxation, cricket f course and a picnic lunch.
Hi Will,
ReplyDeleteIt was so great to hear your voice this afternoon and am very happy you're having such a good time. Love the photog of the cricket match - nice to see you without a brick in your hand. Your bowling score was pretty impressive. Hope the trek isn't too tough - it can't be worse than the Nab, can it? Lots of love, Mum

The whole trip looks wonderful and you will be in your element. A weekend in your Mum's caravan will no longer be enough [if it ever it was - only kidding] Are you eating well/ We had a curry the other night - bet you can beat that. How about the wild life and the people you must have met? Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Hi AlexDarling
ReplyDeleteIs there a national pen, paper, envelope, postcard and stamp shortage? Has your writing hand been severed at the wrist? Have you forgotten your address? If the answer to any of these questions is no then get busy. We haven’t heard from you apart from your message on the blog and we need to! Get your a into g and send a postcard. I have been assured by the best medical minds that it will not be fatal! Failure to do so, on the other hand, could result in instant death on your return. Your grandmother says the same but with knobs on. xxx mum
Hi Sam
ReplyDeleteSaw your picture (you are sitting under a tree without hair !!) looking well though. Katie passed her hairdressing but not much she can do for you now you are shaved. I hope that you are enjoying everything so far the pictures look awsome. Katie and I have spent quite a lot of time together (she's only using me till you get back lol :-)) Margaret and Michael send their love as usual - Michael joked that you might like an indian takeaway when you get back but I reckon you should have learnt how to cook one so we might hold you to that.
Take care love Christine (Katie's mum)X

ReplyDeleteHi Emma Smith,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having lots of fun out there and doing good! Just up your street, I remember from all your various adventures and TA stuff during our Uni years (remember those)? Eco-units sound altogether sensible...not sure I can imagine quite what they are...and as for 'leech-socks'..sound positively revolting! Can't resist asking what you are doing without your bowl of cornflakes in the morning..unless they do have cornflakes in Kerala?!
At least you folk are doing useful things...I change nappies and make silly noises at our Monster son..
Love Melx
Hi Rob,
ReplyDeleteYou know me and technology - it's only taken a month for me to find you on my laptop! It was great to see your face on my screen. Hope you are having fun and soaking up every new experience and hope there are not too many biting insects. Mum is planning her trip and looking forward to seeing you and I'll hear all your news from her when she returns. Enjoy!!
Love, Jan.
