6:00am and the alarm is ringing...

.....and in morning tradition I lean over and set my alarm to snooze. But today many are up early through-out Mysore to offer celebrations to the Dasara Festival. And the staff at Raleigh H.Q are up too to join in the rituals

The Puja ritual, pronounced Pooja, is a celebrated by Hindus on many different occasions as a mark of respect to the gods Puja also serves as a means of offering love, praise, thanks, and supplication to God, Gods, and guru.

This particular celebration the Indian staff at field base don their traditional attire and begin to bless all aspects of our working lives. Computers, project site tools and even the water tanks all receive a special blessing, leaving Field Base rich in colour with celebration flowers garlands and religious paint blessings......

Also, a perfect opportunity for a classic group photo.

  1. Hi Emma Jameson
Notes from a sparsely populated island (apologies to Bill Bryson...) I know you will be thrilled to hear that New Zealand won the International Golden Shears Award in Norway. The NZ team commented that the Norwegian sheep were cantankerous. You will be delighted to know that Birkenhead Post Shop send their love and want to be kept updated on how you are going, as does Scott at the Takapuna Beach Cafe. We are booked in there for Christmas Eve. The staff at the National Bank also send their love and at this rate most of Highbury will want to subscribe to this blog! Love Momma J & PJ
