This morning brought the return of all four project groups, safe and smiling, to Fieldbase for second changeover. This marks the completion of Phase 2.
As I write, they’ve all unpacked their kit and gone into Mysore for an afternoon’s sightseeing and shopping. Probably much to the delight of the local Domino’s pizza house!
They’ll spend an entertaining and relaxing three days here at Fieldbase before they deploy on to Phase 3 on Wednesday.
Coming very shortly - more news, a Movember moustache and donations update, and the new team and project allocations for Phase 3 ...

Hope the second phase went well! It looks like you are having the best time. I definitely miss you here, I have been watching survivor alone, its not the same without you! Nothing much has happened, just been working a lot. Pretty boring really! This week Ball Park Music are playing at work, I will try and film some of it for you! Take care, enjoy the rest at field base!! Will write again when something interesting happens, don't hold your breath, it seems highly unlikely right now, melbourne is so boring!! haha

ReplyDeleteHi darling, dad has checked your phone and it is all fine so should be working. I had a missed call from you and dad a text, so it seems to be working ok? I sent a couple of text today, don't know if they arrived.
Dad and I have both signed up to viber, which is a phone app. If you have any Internet there it lets you make free calls and send free text to anyone else signed up to it.
So if you have any Internet access at field base see if you can down load
The app onto our phone. Not sure actually if you need Internet or just mobile satellite access, but give it a go. Really hope to get to speak to you in the next few hours or tomorrow..love you xx

ReplyDeleteLieve Car,ben zo benieuwd hoe het met je gaat in India en of je het naar je zin hebt, vast wel! Ben je aan het genieten van alle nieuwe ervaringen en bevalt het leven in India? Ik hoorde van Talitha dat je woensdag op grote trektocht gaat, wat spannend! Heel veel plezier nog de laatste maand daar, de tijd gaat snel he! Hier in Spanje is het helemaal bueno, heb het super naar mijn zin en er zijn heel veel leuke mensen en het Spaans gaat ook goed. Wil nog helemaal niet naar huis over 3 weken al... lieve schat geniet daar heel erg in India, het laatste maandje met je backpackie en als je terug bent gaan we elkaar meteen zien en alle verhalen uitwisselen, ik kan nu al niet wachten! Glad to hear that you're back to the field base and completed your environment project. Seems to me that now you know more about how biogas produced and engineered than your friends and other people who are studying environmental engineering in classrooms... :-)
I got your text message but could not reply as I was in Bangkok at that time and a bit busy with my meeting. Just got back home this morning. Will try to call you tomorrow.
