Apologies for the delay in some of these, folks. I'll be heading out to see the project teams this Wednesday and returning to Field Base on Sunday, so expect a whole new set of messages when I get back...

"To Hugo William Maynard Burton. I actually haven't read any of my letters yet - been saving them. So that's good that it's cringe'inell! Yeah, I am having a really good time thank you. You spelt my middle name wrong. Rubbish boyfriend! I don't think I could ever forget that face, hun! Lots of love, Lauren :-) Miss you too xxxxxx"
"Hi family! Hope all's well in the Board household. Am having such a good time here, you don't need to worry about me, I have loads to tell you when I am back. Hope you all have fun in Portugal without me. It obviously won't be the same! Love you all - Lauren Xxxxx"
"Hey Em :-)
Yeah, I am having such a good time here. Still hasn't sunk in that I am actually in India! Missing all you guys and I hope you're not having too much fun without me! Say hi to all the galdems for me please. Hope everyone is safe and well. Lots of love. Lauren xxxxx"

"To Hilary Mejnertsen, Happy birthday!!! Hope you have an awesome day and a great time with the family in Tivoli! I am really enjoying it here; we're off to Bidarahalli to start the project. Say hello to everyone for me. Lars."

"To Mum (Sheena Graham) and James, Don't worry, I got your first message. I hope you're all managing to tolerate each other and that Zac doesn't keep you up all holiday. Tell Dad I said hi and that I hope his navigation system is working and he isn't getting too lost. The food is extremely spicy, however there is yoghurt. I'm really enjoying myself and I am so glad I came. I am now in the middle of packing to set off to the project. I can't wait to get your next message. I love you all so much. Love, Elizabeth Graham Xxxxx"
"Hey Soph, You don't know how happy I was when I got your message. Was not expecting it :-) Oh well, it was to be expected that GB would do pants in the Olympics. I would like to say "haha" fo the weather but it's just be hot here, not a lot of fun - but still nice. Please try to stay safe and not have any other near death experiences while I am away, and tell Sean that I'm not happy he didn't risk his life to try to protect you. I am out on the project phase which is so exciting. The people in India are so friendly - they all want their pictures taken with us! (Feel famous). I hope you're okay and say hi to everyone else! Love Elizabeth Graham. P.S. I'm really sick of curry now:-( Xxxxx"
That's all for now. I'll take your messages out on my visit this Wednesday, so keep them rolling in. You have until Tuesday night to submit them, otherwise you'll have to wait until I come back. Messages from the blog are always so well received, even the littlest ones, so please feel free to pass on your encouragment to our teams. As my next post will show, they're making great progress so far.

To Patrick Scott;
ReplyDeleteThanks my love, I can't wait to celebrate our 2 years when you get back! (: No embarrassing photos of you yet, how has the toilet building been going? (: It must feel so good to be helping others so much! Richard says he hopes your stomach is still okay, or something along those lines :P I've been getting into the Olympics a lot more than any other year, it's great! We're currently in 3rd position behind the US and China, with 16 golds (:
I hope you're having a wonderful time, see you soon. I love you :D

ReplyDeleteHey azizam,
I forgot that you got all these messages together so I told my mam to pass on that message about David Watt coz I was going out to training. Silly me!
Another great day for Iran at the Olympics with another Gold and a Silver in the wrestling. The Gold was won by a Omid Haji-Narooza? Something like that haha GB did well with another bunch of medals including 2 golds. They've got 40 medals all together now. That means they're third in the table. It's amazing!
Just got back in from training and I'm absolutely shattered. Got totally beasted tonight. Never ran so much my life!
Anyway, hope you're having a great time! And can't describe how much I miss you right now :( not a minute goes by when I'm not thinking about you!
Love you lots azizam

ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart! It sounds like things are progressing quite nicely from the director's blog! The egosanitation project will provide so many people with just the basics. We take these things for granted. It looks like you are surrounded by many little ones...they are so cute and I'm sure they are eager to be with all you young adults. I can't wait to hear from you and to see lots of pictures! How is the food? Are you getting any new recipe ideas for the fall? Have you had any critter encounters? Do tell!
Things are the same here. Lots of swimming and working! Josie has lots of bounce and the kitties are happy and hunting. This morning I woke up to Jersey trying to choke something up while lying on my pillow. At the same time I noticed my gold earring was missing. I thought he ate it and was regurgitating....but no, hairball and earring buried in bed! Jane helped me put pictures up on the wall finally and Fiona helped me with some major gardening. Grandpa has been helping too. He has fallen in love with Tacos. Corn is finally here and we have been eating it every night! Watched a good movie with Jamie last night. Today it is raining! Hooray! I can see the grass turning from brown to green right before my eyes!
I miss you Laura and hope you are having an amazing time. I recall my own time spent away from Canada as a young person as being some of the most memorable moments of my life and I'm sure it will be for you too.
Did you finish the "creepy" book yet? I just finished "The Heart Specialist" by Clare Holden Rothman, a canadian who writes about the escapades of one of the first female doctors in Quebec, 1870's. Astounding!
Blog Back and Love you to infinity and beyond......

ReplyDeleteI hope you are staying well. All this rain makes me want to bake! Today is carrot cake! I have a million flies in my house and I had the fly-split-open-with-white worm experience yesterday and thought of you at the old house!! Christopher and I went to the hospital this morning as he has Strep throat and a trampo injury. It's actually amazing he hasn't hurt himself on the tramp before...he told the doc "overuse of neck" and when doc asked if he had ever landed on his head, Chris replied "everyday!!" and of course the doc turned as green as his scrubs!
Josie had a big shower as we ended up in a mucky part of the river in the rain yesterday afternoon. I have a doggy electric blanket for her arthritis and she loved drying off wrapped in electric heat...Jersey tried to snag it from her! Chris is sleeping and I'm getting ready to teach my math lesson tomorrow. Think of you constantly and love you ever so much, my dear sunshine. Love, Mom xoxoxoxo

Tu noous manques beaucoup!
gros bisous,
La J's Family
